Purchase
For the purchase option, the user may purchase a permanent licence to use the software, and then optionally purchase additional maintenance and support subscriptions on an annual basis (first year maintenance and support included in purchase price). The maintenance and support subscription enables the user to download and use the latest version of the software within the maintenance period and also to request support from Simphysics. If the user already owns one permanent licence, additional permanent licenses may be purchased at a 50% discount. Similarly additional maintenance and support subscriptions running in parallel with the first may be purchased at a 50% discount.
Subscription
For the subscription option, the user purchases a licence to use the software for a fixed period of time. One month, three month, and 12 month options are available. Maintenance and support within the licence period is automatically included with this option. If the user has already purchased a subscription, additional licences may be added to their current subscription, pro-rated according to the remaining subscription period, and at a 50% discount. Also, if the user purchases annual subscriptions for three consecutive years, then they may purchase a permanent software licence for the same price as the fourth year of subscription.
Modules
The basic licence for EPPIC is for DEM modelling only. The fluid (SPH) capability is sold as an add-on module. For both purchase and subscription models, additional add-on modules of the same kind after the first may be purchased at a 50% discount. Support for modules is automatically included in the base maintenance and support subscription.

Licensing
Licensing is managed by CodeMeter USB hardware locks, which may be used locally on a machine or made available over a network.
